Hello there! It is less than 2 weeks until our Women's Retreat. We are counting the days! Are you ready?
The theme for this year is: "Pressing on to Maturity in Christ." Our prayer is that this will be a time of learning and faith strengthening for all of us. Our speakers, Alne and Carrie have ministered separately to us in the past, and we are excited to have them both at the same time. Below is a quick bio of each of them:
Alne and her husband Dr. Paul Hartog are members of Maranatha Baptist Church in Grimes, where they work with the teens. She and her “sweetheart” love celebrating their wedding anniversary monthly. They are at 328 months this month! They have two college-age children and one high schooler. Alne loves encouraging and discipling other women. She has recently become the assistant director of Alpha Women’s Center, being a voice for precious babies who cannot speak for themselves, and being an encouragement to mamas. Alne enjoys playing her guitar (named Troy), reading, hanging out with friends, cooking, and traveling stateside and overseas with her family.
Carrie is from Grimes, IA where her husband Lance has pastored at Maranatha Baptist Church for the past six years. She takes great joy in serving the Lord alongside him. She is currently on staff at her church as the Media & Communications Manager and enjoys serving especially the women and precious children in her church. Carrie loves the Word, adventuring with her husband Lance, discipling women, and reading a good book with a cup of coffee.
