For Such a Time as This

"Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time because the days are evil." Ephesians 5:15-16

Watching the news nowadays is a recipe for depression. It is hard not to be discouraged by the current social and political scenario we see played out before our eyes. The problem is not unique to America. It is a pandemic affecting the world in greater scale, with far bigger destructiveness than Covid-19 ever could. We live in a world in which the question “what is a woman?” has been opened for discussion. We see our teens being brain washed by the LGBTQ agenda. We hear of transgenderism preached in elementary schools. Practices that would not be dared to be mentioned just a few years ago in the darkness, now parade everywhere in broad daylight. We witness people being deeply affected and totally immersed in these practices. People we know personally, even from our own families. It hits home closer than ever before.

We live in this world with a mission. God placed us here, for such a time as this…in this church, in this town, in this country. We have a message that can transform lives and upset the status quo (Acts 16: 21) but we need boldness to preach it. That is why we want to pray together, study the Word together, cry out to God together for courage, opportunities, and wisdom to share the gospel with those around us.

One of our new projects for the year is a prayer chain. You can sign up for it by sending us a message here. We will be praying for pressing issues in our society, for our church, and for each other. Please, feel free to contact us with praises and prayer requests. Let us know how we can pray for you and with you.

We know we are actively engaging in a spiritual battle. Our fight is not against flesh and blood, “but against the rulers of the darkness of this age” who want to harvest the souls of our generation (Ephesians 6:12). We need to prepare ourselves by putting on the “armor of God,” by being women of the Word. And we can take courage in the truth that “He who is in us is greater than he who is in this world” ( 1 John 4:4).
